Today begins a month long tour with Banshee Tree & High-Step Society. I’m returning mid-may with a show at La Vita Bella in Longmont Thursday May 18th.
I’m incredibly excited to be playing at Boulder’s eTown Hall on June 9th supporting The Suitcase Junket. It’s sure to be a beautiful night, and I will be Joined by the amazing

I wrote this song after experiencing several episodes of sleep paralysis. I lost a bunch of sleep, but this song offered me some sort of relief. This was recorded in a greenhouse at 8,000 ft. elevation. I have a tambourine under one foot, and a mic inside a cinderblock, under the other.

Just got home from an amazing tour with Banshee Tree. We played DIY venues in FL , GA, and TN on the way up from beautiful Key West, FL. We shared the stage with Rayland Baxter, Langhorne Slim, SUSTO,Twain, and so many beautiful artists at “Coast Is Clear 2022”. I’m feeling inspired to start releasing some new music.

Recordings are underway for my new album. Chris Duffy and I just wrapped up 8 days in studio tracking .Tour and festival season is in full swing with Banshee Tree playing Sonic Bloom, Oregon Country Fair, Northwest String Summit, Four Corners Jam festival, and 2 weeks in Paris, FR
March 1st 2022:
In beautiful Key West with Banshee Tree after more than 2 weeks of LA and FL shows. Gearing up to open for Yonder Mountain String Band at Fort East Martello. Recording my songs is on hold until June, as Banshee Tree has a stacked spring tour schedule including east and west coast runs.

Nederland, CO’s Thom LaFond presents his debut full-length LP “The Moon Leans In”
“The Moon Leans In” is a collection of genre-fluid compositions recorded in Lyons, CO. The album traverses stylistic grounds from indie rock to vintage swing, Taking equal parts influence from Mac Miller, Andrew Bird, and Billie Holiday
LaFond will be celebrating the release of “The Moon Leans In” with a show at Supermoon
In Boulder, CO February 3rd 2022. Singer-songwriter Dan Hochman will be opening.
LaFond’s lyrics are filled with complex musings, often using the moon to represent mother nature in her beautiful & unabashed ways. Thom often finds himself the last one awake at the party, acoustic guitar in hand, singing to the moon. “What do you do when the night becomes the morning, and you’re still out there telling stories to the moon?”.
“New Wildfire” was written during an outbreak of wildfires in Colorado in 2020. LaFond’s home in Nederland was centered in the smoke from four simultaneous wildfires. Cameron Peak Fire, East Troublesome, and Williams Fork were raging, with the Lefthand fire just a few miles away.
